The new LEED Gold-certified Cuisinart Center for Culinary Excellence is intended to be the “jewel” of Johnson & Wales University’s Harborside Campus. Tsoi/Kobus & Associates designed a program of environmental graphics and signage to create a distinctive identity for the building and celebrate the university’s emphasis on health, social responsibility, and sustainable food practices.
- Bold, large-scale environmental graphics span 10’ x 40’ on each level and can be seen from outside the building.
- Images and graphics support themes specific to each floor: the history of JWU’s culinary arts program (lobby and level 1); cooking, nutrition, and sustainable food (level 2); pastry and baking (level 3); and beverage and service (level 4).
- Signage throughout the building spotlights and details sustainable strategies and features.
